Nasri debuts in Arsenal 3-1 Vfb Stuttgart + Amaury Bischoff +Bentley's gift + Goals vids

Sorry all you Gunners fan for not being able to keep you all updated in past week ,coz I had to go out away from the world of Internet and the whole experience made me realize how Fucked up one could be without it. Well leaving that apart, there has been many things happening in the world of Arsenal F.C.

Arsenal have thrashed German outfit Vfb Stutgart in their own backyard 3-1. All the 4 goals comming in the second half. The starting line up of Arsenal was containing of usual first team players with the exception of Eboue playing in the central midfield. Also Samir Nasri was given his debut for Arsenal. The subs had plenty of young and talented reserves players.

————————Almunia———————

–Sagna—--–Djourou———-Gallas (c)--—-Clichy

–Walcott—---Eboue——–Denilson—–--Nasri

---Van Persie—————-Adebayor----

subs: Fabianski, J.Hoyte, G.Hoyte, Lansbury, Randall, Wilshere, Vela, Ramsey, Simpson, Bendtner.

The first half was without any goals and was just like a normal pre-season game.Samir Nasri looked exciting and will be the one to watch once the season gets under way .The action started in second half with the replacement of Adebayor and Van Persie by Nicklas Bendtner and Carlos Vela. Lukasz Fabianski came in for Almunia.Justin Hoyte came in for Djourou. The scoring for Arsenal was started by the young Mexican forward Carlos Vela. The second goal was quite an exquisite one from Nicklas Bendtner taking Khalid Boulharouz one on one and driving past the clutches of former Arsenal keeper Jens Lehman. Arsene Wenger earlier came in praising the professional attidude of the German Goalie.

Then Eboue and Samir Nasri were replaced for Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey. The third was by far the best goal of the match also of the preseason. Most of the work leading upto the goal was done by Gael Clichy dribbling pass two defenders in the box and then somehow finding the 16 year old prodigy Jack Wilshere who gave a left footed pile driver to slot the ball home. I say this lad could be next Fabregas and is defiantely in Wenger's plans. Keep a watch on him people.

Bacary Sagna was replaced by Gavin Hoyte and Walcott gave way to Mark Randall. Finally Vela and Denilson made way for Henri Lansburry and Jay Simpson. It was enough to see Arsenal secure a win against a good Bundes Liga outfit. From the look of it , the lads are seeming to be getting in the groove.Keep on scoring Gunners...

Portugese under 21 Amaury Bischoff has officially signed for the club. There were rumors that he was about to sign circulating past month. The deal has been confirmed on Arsenal's website.I think he has been unlucky with injury but has a great potential. For the Bio of the player Click here.

I would like to mention to you guys that if David Bentley signs for Spuds for £17 million transfer Arsenal are set to pocket of 50% of that amount, as per the agreement signed when he was transfered to Blackburn Rovers. Now £ 8.5 million is big money any way you see it. I think it would be interesting to see him in the North London derby.Till then Go Arsenal Go....

Hleb , Better mind Ur Business +Wenger & Walcott speak+ barnet game video

I am writing this article with anger and rage directed against none other than our dearly beloved piece of sh*t named Alex Hleb. One can understand that he needs to make a following among the 'Bark'lona fans, but that doesn't mean he barks about any thing he feels.I think we all are aware of the dirty mud slinging politics played by the Barcelona directors. They think they can get any damn player in the world. So now they turn their attention to our own Cesc Fabregas. It seems someone has asked Hleb, as part of his proposed job at Barcelona, he is to talk all bull sh*t about his fellow team mates so that they can be lured by the Barcelona dream. What a fuckin way to stab your manager and your fans who have supported your each selfish dribbling without ever wishing for a goal.Hleb was opening his mouth about Cesc and his past as a Barca youth.Hleb had this to say to Barcelona's official website.

"He [Fabregas] told me lots of things [about Barcelona], his time in the academy with players like Pique, Messi and so on," Hleb told Barcelona's official website.

"He loves this club, and though he's at Arsenal, who knows, maybe one day he'll come back here."

Yea I can understand where this comes from, I think its a part and parcel of being a Barcelona player. You have to come out with such comments so that the fans love you and the directors love you even more.Hleb , if you are listening please do us Gunner fans some favor with regards to all the time that we cheered you even when you didn't score a goal for your selfish desires, please for all the trust that we shown you , don't be a f*ckin bast*rd.

Arsenal having moved to Emirates stadium has seen themselves being comparatively quite in the transfer market for some years. It has definately got something to do with the Emirates move but not all of it is related with the stadium. I think Arsenal are signing players who can fit into Wenger's scheme of things. I think we still have funds available for god players but not stupid money.Chelsea are reported to go after Kaka , for what could be the highest paid transfer money. Well, we surely don't have that kind of cash and Wenger is aware of it.He goes on to say :

"No it[big deal signings by Chelsea and Manu] doesn't bother me too much," said Wenger.

"I know at the start of the transfer market Chelsea can buy who they want, and I cannot stop that."

Adebayor should come out now from his slumber sleep and for once and all state his desires. If he doesn' t do that it means he is just a modern day footballer who is solely interested in money and cares less about the club. On regards to Adebayor transfer rumors , Arsene said.

"No [we have not put a price on his head], at any price if you come in tomorrow with £400 million then I will think about it! I do not want to go into any speculation, I want to keep Adebayor," Wenger added.

"I don't know what has gone on because a lot has been denied, it is very difficult to know what is true and what is said and not said, he denies 99 percent of it.

"I have never met many people who have said 'I do not have a case for a new contract'! We are always ready and I fight always to get the players the maximum wages but you have to respect the wage structure."

Wenger said he wanted Adebayor to stay and I think thats puts the situation regarding talks about Adebayor leaving to shit. For complete comments on Setanata sports click here.
One player I would love to watch scoring goals is Theo Walcott. I think the lad has been unneccesarily put under pressure by giving him the 14 number shirt once wore by Thierry Henry. I thought the club would retire that shirt but it seems they have other plans. Well Theo is no Thierry , atleast for now, a fact he also understands. The lad is sure to make some more contribution to Arsenal' season this year.He has set a 20 goal target for himself . Now that's the way to go, mate. Walcott goes on to further say, that its football he is interested in and not the money.I think Flamini ,Cashley,Alex Hleb and Adebayor better listen to their young team mate who is more determined then theese guys are ,I guess. Go on Theo >>>Conquer the World.

And in the end the Under 19 Euro championships saw its last group qualifiers being played. Both Kieran Gibbs and Fran Merida won with their national teams with Merida scoring an assist and a goal. Unfortunately both of them are outof competitons as their team failed to qualify further in tournament. That means they would be back in training with the rest of the squad. Barnet 1-2 Arsenal + Wenger reaction+Rosicky to miss start+ Denilson+Clichy on Persie

Finally some relief from transfer speculation that had driven me crazy to the extent of checking each and every website or blog for the slightest hint regarding a possible transfer news. Alas, The Great One, answered my request and arranged for the first pre-season friendly against Barnet at Underhill Stadium .

Arsenal Starting XI:

Almunia
Sagna - Nordtveit - J.Hoyte - Clichy (c)
Lansbury - Denilson - Ramsey - Traore
Walcott - Bendtner

Barnet Starting XI:

Beckwith
Carew, Yakubu, Devera, Gillet;
Adomah, Porter, Bishop, St Aimie;
Birchall, Akurang.

The much awaited Ramsey started his first match in Arsenal's jersey. The first half was not so good for the Gunners and it only was a matter of time before Arsenalgot going. Arsenal started their pre-season preparation on a high by winning the game 2-1 thanks to two second half goals from Jay Simpson(63) and Nacer Barazite (74).

The first half saw Barnet taking a surprise lead .Unbelievably, Gael Clichy’s close pal in Kenny Gillet won a free kick outside the edge of the ‘D’ before smashing it past the stranded Almunia. That came as a shock to the 5500 Gunner's fans ,who had traveled to support their teams first game. The first half was rusty as far as team performance is considered but there were surely moments of individual brilliance.I think, its just that the players need to get back from their holiday mood and really slog it out, if we are to win a cup this season

Second half saw us changing the entire squad on pitch. I think it was pre-decided by Arsene Wenger. He had already thought of two sets of teams. Francis Coquelin was granted a debut in midfield. Seven English talents also took the field with Vito Mannone being granted the chance to impress.

Mannone
Ogogo - G.Hoyte - Rodgers - Steer
Wilshere - Randall (c) - Coquelin - Barazite
Simpson - Fonte

Francis Coquelin showed a couple of good touches and highly-rated Jack Wilshere showed his class on the left hand side with several silky runs.It was Jay Simpson who netted the first goal for Arsenal. It would really help his cause to get noticed by Wenger. The second one was scored by none other than Nacer Barazite who was the reserves league top scorer last season.
It was then, just the guys had to see us safely to the final whistle to start the season with a good spirited win against a league 2 side.

I think Wenger would be especially please that 2 goals were scored by Second XI side which were playing under pressure of being a goal down.I would like to thank Chris of Gooner talk from whoom I have borrowed some Informations. If you want detailed Match Analysis Click Here.

Speaking after Arsenal's 2-1 pre-season friendly win over Barnet, Wenger stated he expects Adebayor to make his first appearance at training.

"Adebayor is under contract," Wenger told Sky Sports News. "We expect him to turn up on Monday and practice with us."

Thats the way to do it Arsene. If a player thinks he can have his way , you need to say him that he has signed a bloody contract and he must respect it.

On new Transfer signings, he said:

"Yes you can expect signings. I don't know where and how many, but we're in the market. If there's a good opportunity we'll take it."

That means we are in business friends and thats a bloody hell good thing to say .

For complete interview of Arsene Wenger with Sky Sports, Click here.

Clichy, came out yesterday praising Van Persie .I think Robbie has been really unlucky with his injuries. Last season when he was coming in his own groove , he got injured on the International duty for Netherland and never seemed to make a recovery for the rest of season. I feel he will set the Premier League on fire if he remains fit for the complete season and I think Clichy shares my view.
"He was unlucky to be injured last season so it was good to see him play game after game," said the Frenchman. "It was a big blow to lose him and I'm certain that his return is going to be a great bonus for us this season.

"At Arsenal we have lots of players who can make a difference, but Robin is a player like Cristiano Ronaldo, the kind who, even if they aren't playing fantastically, can change things from one free-kick, corner or one pass."

Rightly said, Gael . You know what, you too are, no less mate. You are the one, who knows how to take on Ronaldo and make him a little whining baby.

Bad news Gooners. Rosicky says he wont be back till September. Now I really hoped that he would be back fit. He hasn't had the start that he, manger and everyone expected of him at Arsenal. However he is recovering from the operation that made him miss the Euro 2008 for Czech Republic. Now with the operation done, I think he could prove the world what he is worth. All the best to you Tomaas. He had this to say, Click here.

I know I'll miss the start of the club season," he told Czech daily Sport.

"According to plans I should be back on the field in September."

Denilson, I think this is the season he has to come out and prove himself. With Arsenal running short in the Central Defensive Midfield department ,I think he has a great chance to take the place and make it his playground .For it though, he would have to play more regularly and give a no bull sh*t of performance each time. Thats a too much to expect from a 20 year old but with Wenger's Youth , you can never trust them. He says

“I’m just focused on Arsenal, but I know some other clubs were looking at me,” said Denilson. “Last year I heard Barcelona wanted to buy me, but I really like it at Arsenal.

“For me this is the best team, it’s where I want to be. I want to show what I can do for Arsenal.”

Well if he hadn't mention Barcelona it would have done a whole lot of good to everybody. However , since he has Arsenal in his future plans I can let that go by. No complains mate..
If you want to check out the entire comments Daily Express has it in detail.

I found this piece of information on one of the Blogs I regularly visit. Le Groove says we are about to sign Garreth Barry from Aston Villa for pound 12 Million + Justin Hoyte. I guess its a Win Win situation for everybody. I will not shave for a month if this signing does go through.Looking to raising long beards, till then Go Arsenal Go...................

Henry --Greatest Gunner + Wenger on new Season+ Coquelin

Thierry Henry -- Its the name which every Arsenal fan has stamped on his heart. Then, him being voted the Greatest Gunner by online voting of the Arsenal fans in a poll of 50 Greatest Gunners comes hardly as a surprise. To set things straight, in whichever way u see it, I am a die hard Henry fan .I, for all this years had him as my favourite Arsenal player, the title of which has been duly replaced by Cesc Fabregas. However, Thierry still holds a place in my heart and to that, I believe, in every Gooner's heart.I still dream of someday, seeing Henry donning the Arsenal colors once again. My brain says thats not possible, but u know how heart can be cruel and play over your sense of judgement. Its my dream to once again see Henry for the Gunners and I think a million out there share the same view.

All the fans know that Thierry always loved the fans and the fans loved him. He always mentions, his rapport with Arsenal's supporter which has been excellent and which will continue to remain excellent and which no bull sh*t of a club that Barcelona is, can ever take out of him.Thats said about it .....

The Frenchman beat off the likes of Dennis Bergkamp, Tony Adams and Patrick Vieira , who by their own regards are one of the legends that have graced the red and white jerseys of Arsenal. I think they would be themselves proud to have shared the pitch with Henry.

Henry came out with his feelings about being voted the Greatest Gunner quoting on the Arsenal site.

“Thanks to everyone who voted for me,” he said. “It’s always a true honour when something is voted for by the fans, especially Arsenal fans as they have many great players from their past to choose from.

“As you know, I loved my time at Arsenal and have many fantastic memories from my eight years there. It was an honour to play in the historic red and white of Arsenal especially at Highbury. I’ll always follow the team and what they do. I’ll always be a Gooner in my heart.

“And finally thanks to the fans for their support during my time at the club. They were right behind me and the team in good times and bad.”

Rightly said Henry, every word of it. Well, now you just need to tell those shitba*s at Barcelona that you need to be back at Arsenal for one final season and that would make my day.Like they say Impossible is nothing......

Arsene Wenger, gave an interview to Arsenal website in which he revealed a whole host of things about the questions he was asked, regarding what were his plans for Arsenal. Here is the few excerpts from the interview:

"'Of course I am in a position where I can spend the money."

"But every time we have done such a great job with the young players that you are concerned 'do we kill a young player or not by bringing another player in?'

"It is a very sensitive subject which is not specially linked with money."

"There is a lot of talk in the press, but we have always managed at this club by balancing the budget," he said.

"We should not be criticised for that and should be respected for that."

"It was by far [the most unlucky term], with the decisions and injuries. At some stage you could not believe how bad it was," said Wenger.

"But you have to deal with that and have to use it as a platform to come back and be even stronger mentally."

I think his views about obstructing the development of a young player by signing a new experienced player is a bit too much. It's obvious that we need experience player for CDM role. Also, about being unlucky, I am on same wavelength with him. I too thought that we were quite unlucky with the injury aspect last season and also with some of the decisions going against us in some of the crucial matches. Let's hope that we are more lucky this season.

I think Wenger didn't want Hleb to go but as it is fast turning out things are not going the way as he would have liked them to go.The fact that we have lost almost all our experience players except for the humble Kolo Toure and crazy William Gallas, can be a discomfort for any manager.Wenger somehow enjoys doing things that most people would not even consider doing. I think somehow he finds some sadistic pleasures in surpassing challenges, the thought of which would put off, many a good Football Managers. This is what is driving his will and his desire to be an Arsenal's manager. I believe it's solely because of the thought that he could raise his army of players assembled from places, no one's heard of and create them into one fighting unit. That is, Wenger' s Army of Youth could go on and demolish the likes of Ac Milan in their own backyard is whats fuels his passion .Although, I call it Wenger's Army but mark my words as this army is instructed, to not be brutal and insensitive but instead, he has grilled in them the art of playing football the way it was meant to be , the free flowing , one-2-one passing game that would leave even their mighty competitors in awe.

Lets see what he can achieve from his players whom he highly believes and trusts in to becoming the greats of football.

Good news as Arsenal have confirmed on their website that we have officially signed French under17 International Francis Coquelin from Stade Lavallois. He is a central defensive midfielder and has been given the 59 number shirt. So goodluck to him.

Tomorrow is our first 2008/09 seasons Warmup friendly against Barnet at Underhill which has over the years become a traditional fixture.Lets see how the lads perform with the likes of Ramsey and Vela likely to feature. If u wanna watch the match live, I will provide you the link in my next article. If you wish to download Arsenal' away kit screensaver click here.Till then . .. Go Arsenal Go.......

Henry's reaction to Hleb signing + Gilberto-" A true Gunner"

Alexander Hleb the Belarussian play-maker was officially revealed in front of the hungry Spanish media by Barcelona. Thierry Henry was also present at the event which saw Hleb kissing the Barca Batch as though he was practicing it since he first kicked the ball. Its like, you play with your dog, show him a piece of raw meat and you could make him do any trick in the book, with that look in its eyes. I think Alex Hleb reacts to the stack of cash flurred at him by Barca in the same way.

Look at this piece of sh*t looser, who does any thing for money

Now, we know the reason why he left Arsenal- Afterall he wanted some Fuckin Peace in his life.... And the best place to find that would be at ,none other than the good ole Spanish town of Barcelona. That's something which amuses me . Of all the excuses ,he could have thought off in the world, he narrowed down to a stupid one ,like the one ,the kids make it out in school.

Whats noteworthy is Thierry Henry's reaction while all this fanfare was going around in front of the media. I think ,I don't need to say anything regarding it. The picture is self explanatory. Thanks to fellow Blogger Gooner Chris for allowing me to post the pictures.I think Thierry Henry is already confident of his fellow team mates inability.

Gilberto has officially signed for Greek club Panathinaikos . Here is the picture of him signing an agreement with the owner of the club Nikos Pateras.

In an Interview he gave to Panathinaikos official site he said:

Panathinaikos is the new chapter in my career and I believe that it is going to be most successful. I knew Panathinaikos before coming here but having met the president and the people of the club, I have seen their ambition and believed in it. My goals are the goals of my team. I' m fully aware of Panathinaikos' expectations and I' m confident that the club will enter its second century successfully. I am lost for words trying to thank the fantastic fans that welcomed me so warmly in the airport yesterday. I will respond by giving 100% in the field always with an eye at achieving the club's goals

Actually, I personally regard Gilberto highly not only of his qualities on the field but also off it. He is a true Gunner and always will be. He came quietly to Arsenal, played quietly, when things were going well and even when they weren't so well and left without making any stupid comments to the media. I think, he is an ideal in today's money and media dominated footballing world. He is an example for the way a footballer should be. Salute to you, Gilberto.. You will be missed and remembered as a true Arsenal Legend. Here are some pics if u wanna cherish his Memories with Arsenal.

There's not much of transfer rumors linking us with, apart from an odd article saying Torsten Fring's agent might approach Arsenal after their client was rejected by Newcastle United. I can't seem, how we could possibly be interested in the holding midfielder who is 31 years and who I think had a very lack-lusture Euro 2008.

Fran Merida's Spanish side have lost thier match to Hungary in the final group qualifiers of the Under 21 European tournament. That takes Spain out of the tournament. I think in a way ,its better as he can return to Arsenal for pre-season warmup games. So looking forward for more promissing things from Fran and Arsenal .... till then Go Arsenal Go....

Gilberto leaves Arsenal for Panathinaikos- Photos and Vids + Vela

Gilberto Silva, as I mentioned in my previous post was about to sign for the Greek side Panathinaikos ,which the picture suggests will be completed in a day or two. The image shows Gilberto driving out of the Athens airport surrounded by the supporters of the Greek club. Around two thousand supporters assembled at the airport to cheer their clubs latest acquisition. Gilberto 31 years old was seem to be set for a move elsewhere from January has finally decided that his time at Arsenal is over.

The 'Invisible Wall' as he is better known as will undergo a medical tomorrow after which he will sign his contract which will be for three years & expected to be worth £6m plus bonuses.Arsenal will receive around £1.2 m and the player’s representatives, The Base Soccer Agency, £0.8m.This will make him the highest paid player in Greece. It will also be a major boost for the Panathinaikos's ambition to win the league title after finishing third last season.I would like to thank my fellow Gooner from Arsenal Analysis for supplying me with this piece of info.Cheers Mate!!!

Now with Gilberto gone and Alex Hleb set to sign for Barcelona, I think that Arsenal's resources are depleting at a massive rate. This year we have lost 4 midfield players of top quality . I am sure Arsene knows of what he is doing but something tells me somethings gonna go wrong if we don't acquire quality holding midfield player soon. Wenger , are u listening?? But I trust each and every decision of The Professor.Lets see what he can surprise us with yet again. The Video of Gilberto arriving in car is here and is in Greek and some more photos.

Young Mexican striker Carlos Vela gave his first interview to Arsenal and he had quite a lot to say about his new role for Arsenal. He talks about his wish to become an Arsenal player and play for first team, also he talks about his time at Osasuna and how the loan spell helped him improve as a player. Thanks to J Sanderson of Young Guns for this interview. Here is the link if u wanna check out Click here.Keep ur comments pouring in , till then Go Arsenal Go.....

Hleb to Barca

Alex Hleb is currently doing his medical at Barcelona to complete his move to Cattalunyans from Arsenal for a reported fee of £ 11.9 million. The news of him leaving Arsenal to find a quite heaven abroad were circulating since the end of the last season but now it appears a deal has been brokered finally between the two clubs. The FC Barcelona site has already printed an article about the move being done and the contract to be signed as latest as by Thursday. The Barca site has interviewed Alex in Spannish and I am providing you the translated version of that piece of info.

The player Alexander Hleb, who has militated the last three seasons at Arsenal, has come to Barcelona this afternoon to undergo the medical examination before joining FC Barcelona.

In Barcelona, Alexander Hleb has affirmed meet "a dream" with his possible signing by FC Barcelona. "I love this team. I love. I will give the best," said in statements to Barca TV and fcbarcelona.cat.

"I want to win everything"

Belarusian player has been very ambitious: "I've spoken to Guardiola and it is very important for me that he wants and give me the best thing for this team and I want to win everything with the club."

Asked about his qualities, the midfielder has chosen not defined himself. "I can not speak for me. I give it my best on the pitch, but it is better that people and the coach talk about me," he concluded.

So another of the long transfer sagas concerning an Arsenal player has come to a sad end for the Arsenal fans. Could this be a blessing in disguise for Arsenal. I think so Hleb has been a weak link in Arsenal's armoury right from the time he joined Arsenal in 2005 after the club paid Stuttgart £11.2m for his services.I am not being Anti Hleb but the truth is for everyone to see. As rightly pointed out by Opta his statistics sets the record straight regarding Hleb's impact on the overall game played by Arsenal. Here is the statistics:

Season Games Goals Assists
2005/06 25 3 0
2006/07 33 2 4
2007/08 31 2 6
Total 89 7 10

In 89 games that he played for Arsenal over 3 seasons he just netted in 7 times and gave 10 asissts. Quite a low contribution by any one playing for a club like Arsenal in Epl. Hopefully the signing of Nasri could improve this area and be a replacement that would make Arsenal fans memory of Hleb's time at Arsenal just a walk in park. One things for sure , with Hleb's departure the headache for Wenger has increased as his youthful team was coming into its own fold and were very close to achieving great things last year. Now he will have to rebuild the entire squad again which could mean another season without any silverware and which I think would only frustrate more players with the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Adebayour.

Still "In Wenger I believe" and I trust him to deliver a silverware for sure this season. He has this vision which he wishes to achieve with his team and that to by playing the football which is attractive. It needs some courage to that but if you are Wenger, nothing is impossible or is it?I don't know if there's going to be any further movement of players but I would like to bring to your notice about the Youth and Reserve players and I have this piece of info thanks to J Sanderson from Young Guns. The first pre-season warm-up sees us against Barnet on July 19 at Underhill will feature quite some players from our youth setup and reserve teams. Also Arsenal will land a new talent to Spanish outfit UD Salamanca for a season's loan apart from Pedro Botelho who already did a season last year there.

Finally we are linked with Xabi Alonso of Liverpool. Now Alex hleb leaving and Rafa Benitez wanting to cash in, there might be something in that news. Whatever be the case this season has seen us loose quite a midfield players and we desperately need a good quality backup if we are to realize our dream of winning the premiership this season. Keep putting your Comments till then Go Arsenal Go........

Gilberto for Panathinaikos???

Invisible Wall, thats what all Arsenal fans better know Gilberto Silva by , as he truly has been one over the years for Arsenal.Reports emerging from Greece suggest that Gilberto has signed for the Greek outfit of Panathinaikos for £1 million on a 3 year contract.Rumors were going of his exit from Emirates since January of this year as he was unhappy with the number of league starts awarded by Wenger, were restricted to just 12.The transfer will bring to an end Gilberto’s Arsenal career which began in 2002 when the player signed from Atletico Madrid. He has enjoyed a successful spell in North London winning two FA Cups and one Premier League title with the club. Ken Friar, Arsenal’s acting managing director, confirmed the news. He is quoted as saying in The Sun:
“We have agreed to the transfer and signed the papers. It is now an official agreement. We had other offers but we respected Gilberto's desire to sign for Panathinaikos."
This will come as a shock if the moves go through to Arsene Wenger, who after already loosing Lassana Diarra to Portsmouth in January and Matthieu Flamini to Ac Millan for a free transfer are set to loose another of their holding midfielder.Gilberto's departure would be a major loss as he was 31 years old and was front-runner for captains armband last year after the shocking departure of Thierry Henry to Barcelona. He was seen as someone with experience that would balance out Wenger's youthful side.Personally I still believe that this is all bull shit and the deal wont go through .I personally regard Gilberto highly after what he has done for Arsenal is tremendous. He is the person who doesnt make noises and quietly goes about his business. However, for some reasons last season his performance dipped or should I say Flamini's performance peaked ahead of Gilberto's.Last season was quite difficult as per Gilberto's standards as he failed to make any impression on Wenger.Although he has a great professional attitude which has also been appreciated by Arsene.I think he would also wish to end his footballing career by playing football and that too for Arsenal. I can understand if he does wishes to move away for playing football coz after all, that is all what a footballer really wants to do in the end.I would be happy if he moves to Greece and not to any of our rivals in EPL. I was disheartened last year at the same time when Arsenal's long serving player Freddie Ljundberg decided t move for West Ham.Thats what happens in football, loyalties change quickly, though i still regard highly of Freddie.

Some reports suggest that we may be interested in Garreth Barry . There has been reports suggesting that we might whisk Barry right under the Liverpool boss's Rafa Benitez's nose. Now that is what I as an Arsenal fan would love to see happen. However we might have to part with quite a stack of cash as Martin 'O' Neil seems to be adamant of not letting go his captain of Aston Villa for anything less than £17 million after rejecting Liverpool's 4 bids.I think we desperately need a good qulaity CDM and especially if Gilberto's so called move materializes....Keep posting ur comments till then Go Arsenal Go.....

NASRI.. Finally a Gunner+Hleb to barca.

Thank God!!!!! That was my first reaction when Samir Nasri finally signed from Olympique Marseille on a long-term contract for an undisclosed fee.Hurrah!!! Finally Wenger has signed some well known player.Well for Nasri's Bio click the link.I personally think its a much needed signing because I was goin fuckin tired of Alex Hleb, now I am not being rude here but u all will have to agree that he was being a pain in the arse not only for the opponents but with his now famous Peace Qoute, also for Wenger.Well, The Sun says he has already signed for Barcelona for £ 15 million.I don't believe the Deals done. I will only settle for it if i find the news on Arsenal website or on any recognized blogs. Its a big money whichever way u see it,if the deal does go through . I mean that makes Samir Nasri and Aaron Ramsey free to us... :-)) Now that is what I call a deal if its one off course.

Alex Hleb , I thought was one of the gems of Arsene , until he started making all the noises about the noise in London and all that shitty excuses that player make when they want to indicate clubs of their availiblity for transfer. This all Fuckin Quotes that u hear or see during the Transfer market should be stop. I cant find what fuckin purpose they serve to anybody. This all comments by or about Adebayor from his agents from Adriano Galiiani and from whoever fuckin cunt related to him about his possible movement or stay or whatever, just drives me nuts and makes me realize what football has become.

Well enough of this negatives, lets see the positives. Its been two years since we moved to Emirates and what a move it has been. I have cherished each and every match of last two seasons played over here, but Highbury will always be a Home away from home.
Well , I am just waiting for the EPL to start again but theres a good news for all u ppl out there. Arsenal are goin to play 9 friendlies as a preparation for next season and all thesse Friendlies could be watched on the internet live by streaming or if u have a low speed connection u can atleast hear commentaries . Wait for further details, keep logging in to know how....till then Go Arsenal Go..........
